WEEK17 - Next Library

WEEK17

Both Monday and Tuesday

Session

WEEK17 – the national library week of sustainable change and development

Experience the Danish libraries’ take on how we communicate and inspire hope and take action.

As part of WEEK17’s presence at the Next Library, we will engage conference participants through a series of workshops and guided exercise. Here you can participate in both a clothes-swapping market and a knitting-lap oratory, where we focus on textile consumption, social sustainability, health, and well-being.

The aim is to nurture a pro-active mindset and to illustrate ways to engage local communities with the library as a catalyst. We also aim to create a new international network (as a learning circle at P2PU) for libraries to further spread the concept of WEEK17.

Hosts

DB2030/The Danish Library Association and the UGE17/WEEK17 project group.

Pia Damsgaard, Project manager of UGE17 (WEEK17), Herning Libraries.
