Next Library is happy to announce that our longtime partner, Occupy Library will have a new edition of their Occupy Library Conference. This year’s conference will take place in Milan instead of Bucharest, it is an event set out by the Progress Foundation and the Biblioteche oggi Association therefore the name Occupy Library / Stelline Conference 2024.
Occupy Library brings together the innovating ideas that are implemented in libraries in the Central, Eastern European, Black Sea, Caucasus, and Caspian regions.
The conference will take place on May 19th, in Milan, Italy, and the overall theme is:
Libraries as spaces for digital transformation and community wellbeing
with four main topics:
- AI (artificial intelligence) for personal and professional development;
- Library services based on community technological needs;
- Community wellbeing in times of crises – the role libraries play;
- Library services which unite communities.
