- BiebLab: how to build a hybrid platform for teens
Watch the Ignite Talk as a video presentation here
Ignite Talk
BiebLab is the hybrid youth platform of Biblionet Groningen, the organization behind 34 libraries in the province of Groningen (the Netherlands). With riddles and sketches on TikTok (22k followers and 8 million views), two monthly live shows on YouTube, and regular challenges and activities for at home and in the library, BiebLab encourages play and creativity.
Since the beginning in 2019, BiebLab is great example of how you can set up a (online) platform with playful activities for young people. Whether it is a Minecraft or LEGO challenge or a quiz competition in libraries, BiebLab wants to make an important contribution to lifelong learning by connecting young people and developing their creative and social skills.
In 2023 Biblionet Groningen will use the platform of BiebLab to bring a coaching program to young gamers. With the help of well-known gamers, we let them experience how the skills they acquire while gaming can also be useful in everyday life.
Play is in BiebLab’s DNA, and we would love to share our passion and experience during Next Library. So we hope you’ll attend our Ignite Talk.
